Programme Information

A great 1960s soundtrack, some belly laughs and some moving moments in the hit Vietnam comedy starring the irrepressible Robin Williams. It's based on the true story of US DJ Adrian Cronauer, who arrives in Saigon to take over the morning show on Armed Forces radio in 1965 and boost morale with his quickfire wit. But his superiors are not amused by his disregard for authority. Williams's performance earned him an Oscar nomination.
