Stuart Morrison (Iain Glen) is a widowed sports writer for a local newspaper. After losing his wife, Siobhan in a car accident two years previously his son, Denis has become his number one priority and is unable to move on with his life.
Cara Rossi (Sharon Small) is a highly successful management consultant, who is forced to return to her native Glasgow to save the paper (in which Stuart works) from closure. This return plagues her with humiliation.
When the two meet they are instantly attracted to each other, but the road to true love is destined to be filled with pot-holes and u-bends.
