Programme Information
Sam Wheat (Patrick Swayze) and Molly Jensen (Demi Moore) are a very happy couple who are incredibly and deeply in love.
While walking back to their brand-new apartment after a night at the theatre, they encounter a thief in a dark alley who tries to steal Sam's wallet. Whilst fighting the mugger, Sam is shot and killed.
However, all is not lost, he soon finds himself trapped as a ghost and realises that his death was no accident but a cunning plan to obtain information regarding his client list in his job as a stock broker.
He must now warn Molly about the danger that she is now in. However it isn't as easy as it sounds, seeing as Sam cannot be seen or heard by the living due to his physical state.
When attending a séance given by a con-woman, claiming to be a psychic called Oda Mae Brown (Whoopi Goldberg). When he actually tries to communicate with Oda Mae she is astounded to be able to hear him and realises that she has, in fact, got the powers she has only ever claimed to have.
Now the two set out to solve the mystery of his death, and discover that all is not as it seems and more to the point, the people he considers friends aren't as they seem.
