I'm disappointed in Jonathan Ross. Tonight he was interviewing Jonny Vegas and he held back from asking him about the alledged assault on a female member of the audience of his last show
Smacks of a sell out. Where is your integrity Jonathan. And you know that you wanted to ask him more searching questions but thought it safer to ask him about his swim wear! God help us!

The thing is that Parkinson was interesting because his guests tended to dictate the nature of the program. Funny, serious or entertaining. This added variety and interest to each week. Jon’s program is about himself. Every week he rehashes the same lines and turns every show into the same thing, often embarrassing the guests, over talking others and overshadowing them all in an attempt to promote himself as the key element. He is getting boring and tedious and I find what was interesting becoming difficult, to watch. It is a program for ‘fans’ of John, about John and the guests seem to take part in a personal and desperate attempt to promote themselves. Evolve or go, or at least credit some of the guests with the distinction they deserve. Let the celebrities be celebrities …..

I am writing regarding the teddy bear ‘toy’ which you aired on your show of 7.3.08, having ‘been in a road accident’ and to say that I wholeheartedly agree with the disdain and criticism which you rightly pronounced on the same.
I have contacted the manufacturers of the so-called toy directly to try to raise their awareness as to the detrimental effect this would have not only in our attitude to the misfortune of animals but also on the development of children’s psychology.
As an animal lover and parent myself, I think children today are deprived of much of the innocence which I enjoyed as a child but also a sense of wonder for nature around them. Thankfully, there are still responsible organisers/teachers today who seek to correct that but their job is made all the more difficult by irresponsible manufacturers of the so-called toys that were aired on your show.
It’s no wonder that we hear of animal abuse if people are encouraged to think of such things as humour and I am glad that you denounced the same.
I hope you continue to use your standing in the media/public eye to promote responsible ideas especially where children and animals are concerned, being the more vulnerable in society to attack both physical and mental.
