Programme Information

Johnny Depp plays the famous novelist J.M. Barrie in this whimsical and delightful story of how he was inspired to create the much-loved children's classic Peter Pan. Whilst wandering the streets reflecting over his critically panned play, Barrie encounters of the Llewelyn-Davies family.

Widowed mother Sylvia and her four charming children, one of whom is called Peter, enchant him, alleviating his problems, and sowing the seed of an idea that will eventually become one of the greatest stories ever written.

We learn of false accusations against him, problems with his marriage because of the relationship with the Llewelyn-Davies family, and above all the birth of Peter Pan. Depp gives a thoughtful, beautifully crafted performance as the writer.
