Programme Information

Family drama about a dispute that arises in a small American town when a man tries to build a factory on the site of a famous old oak. His young son considers the tree to be his best friend, but his father is eager to build a factory that will bring money into their poor area. Determined not to let the oak die the boy sides with a drifter who teaches him some valuable lessons about self-respect.
