Billed as a remake of the 1967 classic, starring Rex Harrison, this is a quite different telling of the story.

Doctor Dolittle is still a very entertaining movie, made so, of course, because of Eddie Murphy in the lead roll, and for it's use of hi-tech special effects and wizardry.

Eddie Murphy stars as the creature-friendly doctor who receives a bump on the head and discovers that he can communicate with animals.

It turns out that the animal kingdom is as full of smart alecs and jokers as the human one and soon Dolittle is being pestered by creatures of all shapes and sizes for his medical skills.

What will his human family make of his new furry friends?

A film to be enjoyed twice over!
