The disfigured avenger, Darkman returns in this made-for-video sequel.

As Darkman continues his search for the formula for synthetic skin, his nemesis, Durant (Larry Drake) awakens from a lengthy coma to retake his place in the criminal underworld.

Darkman is after Durant in this sequel who didn't die in the first film, as you may well have been under the impression that he had.
