Unfortunately Dangermouse isn't on the air any time soon.
Programme Information
DangerMouse is the wackiest, most hilarious adventure you will ever watch and follows the adventures of a white Secret Agent mouse that was created by Cosgrove and Hall Productions Ltd in England.
DangerMouse is accompanied in this show by his trusty, but bumbling, sidekick - the loveably daft hamster, called Ernest Penfold. Penfold is forever getting himself into difficult positions and has to be rescued by his mentor frequently.
The duo's secret headquarters are situated within an innocent looking old red London pillar box on the famous Baker Street, just outside Sherlock Holmes' famous residence. The superhero, like James Bond, likes his gadgets and owns 'the greatest car ever given to any secret agent...ever' and I mustn't forget to mention his extremely agile "Space Hopper".
The pair are given their varying missions by their Walrus commander, Colonel K via a huge TV screen in their HQ. These missions always consist of having to do battle to save the world from a wide array of villains such as Monsters and Master Thieves. However their most prolific archenemy is the megalomaniac frog, Baron Silas Greenback and his henchman crow, Stiletto.
When watching this show you may get a sudden urge of realisation as you pick up on the James Bond spoof vein, which runs through the series, and this alone makes for sheer hilarity in every episode.
This series was first aired in 1981 and after 7 seasons shown in England has since built up a huge international audience - well over 31 countries. When he was first broadcast on Nickelodeon he shot into their highest ratings almost overnight.
As the title song suggests: He's the Best, He's the Greatest, He's the Greatest Secret Agent in the world! He's the Ace - He's Amazing... He's the Strongest... He's the Quickest... He's the Best!!
Other 'good guy' characters include: 'Agent 57' the master of disguise, 'Buggles Pigeon' the flying ace, 'Professor Skwarkenklux' the resident boffin, 'Miss Boathook' Colonel K's secretary and finally, 'Isanbard' the lonely, very talkative announcer.
On the other hand more 'bad guy's' include: 'Nero' who is Greenback's evil pet caterpillar, 'LeatherHead' the Baron's left hand crow, 'Count Duckula' the stage struck evil duck and finally 'Mad Manuel' the flamenco assassin.
