Programme Information

Two more top chefs go head to head as they try to impress a host of celebrity judges. This week, Brian Turner and Merrilees Parker do battle at the hobs, cooking today for GMTV weather girl and Loose Women presenter Andrea McLean. After being raised in the Caribbean on a Scottish diet, with either chef be able to conjure up childhood memories for Andrea?

    I totally agree what Amy said about Merrilees Parker, of all the chefs on there she is such a bad loser, reminiscent of a spoilt schoolgirl having a temper tantrum!!!and doesn't even acknowledge the guest as she done with Roy Walker completely snubbing him at the end of the show.....I don't know if anyone else spotted that...

    I know chefs are fiercely competitive and wouldn't want to lose on primetime TV but her behaviour leaves a lot to be desired, and considering she is meant to be professional she is annoying to watch.

    I prefer it when she is not on there, as for Gino, now he is the real deal, from Saturday Kitchen to Ready Steady Cook h when he loses he just takes it on the chin, and even acclaims the winner and most of all the guest!!

    I watch Daily Cooks challenge regularly when I am at home and I think its great. BUT - why oh why are the majority of the chefs on here BAD losers!?? That Merrilee Parker is the worse, always snapping and generally not doing herself any favours when it comes down to chosing the winner. She's annoying to watch, and I get the impression Anthony dislikes her too. Any thoughts?

    Today 22nd with that woman who looks like Rusty Lee was the worst guest you've had on. I could tell before she selected the dish she liked best that it would not be the guy with the bald head.. she was positively rude to him. She said she could hear her stomach rumble.. I doubt she could beneath all that fat.

    She was a bitch and feel sorry for Anthony because he said they're trying to do their best for you.. nothing pleased her.. didn't this or that.. who is she.. but a big lump of useless tv extra. I didn't dislike her before this program believe me but she was awful. I think Anthony is the best chef on tv for his nice personality and excellent recipes.

    I am really disappointed in this year's programme. What has happened to the concept of teaching us to cook. Now it is all about the chef's and apart from AWT's spot, we learn very little. Before receipes were shown from start to finish - good, simple home cooking. Now, we have gone all "cheffy". We only see half of the cooking and the ingredients. Lets be honest, half the food they cook never appears on the average dinner table. Who wants a meal of scollops, asparagus and salsa after a hard days work. Get back to reality, please. We are fed up of watching chefs competing against each other.
