Programme Information

Dad's Army written by Jimmy Perry and David Croft, ran for 9 years with eighty episodes spread within 9 series.

A small fictional seaside town of 'Walmington-on-Sea' is the home to a group of men who set up their towns' Local Defence Volunteers, later to become The Home Guard.

It spawned a full length feature film, a stage show and radio series and in 1998 saw the show's 30th anniversary.
