Programme Information

This 1999 tale of seduction and betrayal is based on the novel 'Les Liaisons Dangereuses' by Choderlos de Laclos (which also inspired the film "Dangerous Liasons").

This film (which appeals more to the teenage generation) follows the lives of two controlling, filthy rich, bickering, step siblings, Kathryn (Sarah Michelle Gellar) and Sebastian (Ryan Phillippe).

Kathryn bets her step brother Sebastian that he won't be able to seduce the beautiful, virginal headmasters daughter, Annette (Reese Witherspoon) before the first day of term. The prize to Kathryn, if Sebastian fails, is his Jaguar Roadster. However if he succeeds he wins Kathryn - the one woman he knows he can't have!!

However love gets in the way of these Cruel Intentions....
