Programme Information

Spike Lee's semi-autobiographical drama, set in 1970s Brooklyn. The story concerns the trials and tribulations of a school-teacher, her stubborn jazz-musician husband and their five children. As in many of his early films, Lee plays a supporting role - here, as a bullying drug addict called Snuffy. The film boasts an excellent soundtrack comprising both original 1970s tracks and an eponymous hit single by The Crooklyn Dodgers.
