Crafty, clever and complex, this is a classic con movie. The story of cynical, ageing veteran con man Richard, who is in need of a fellow trickster for a few days. When he spots a youngster trying to perpetrate a simple and rather clumsy confidence scam in a hotel, he pretends he's a cop and "arrests" the crook, talking him into teaming up. The new partners try a few minor cons before embarking on an attempt to separate a wealthy collector from a lot of his money, using a forged rare bank note.
