In his first solo outing away from his brothers, Groucho Marx plays theatrical agent Lionel Q Devereaux, who manages Brazilian firebrand Carmen Novarro. And to double his commission, he gets her to pose as French chanteuse Mlle Fifi at the same nightclub. Unfortunately, matters get complicated when the club's owner Steve Hunt falls in love with one of the incarnations, leading to misunderstandings galore in Alfred E. Green's smart comedy.
