This television series is based on the popular, well-known movie "Clueless". Many of the actors from the movie appear in the television series, including Dion, Mr. Hall, Miss Giest, Amber, and Murray.
The characters are what make the show so funny with their hilarious dilemmas and the way they survive them. The love, friendship and rivalry between the characters keep the audience interested. (Not to mention the size and choice of Cher's wardrobe!)
Rachel Blanchard who plays Cher Horowitz brings her angelic looks to the show. After her career being launched with a part in a McDonald's commercial and then being handpicked from hundreds of actresses Rachel was awarded the role of Cher. She has also been in Nickelodeon's supernatural anthology series "Are You Afraid of the Dark?" had a regular role in the syndicated series "War of the Worlds," and the British series "Chris Cross."
Rachel's also been in feature films like 'Road Trip,' 'Sugar and Spice,' opposite Mena Suvari, as well as 'The Rage: Carrie 2,' 'Iron Eagle IV' with Louis Gossett Jr., and the Canadian film 'Young Ivanhoe.' Rachel plays the role of Cher extremely well and shows all of her acting skills really well.
Donald Adeosun Faison plays Murray Lawrence Duvall. He started his acting career at a young age when he attended the Children's School for the Development of Intuitive and God Conscious Art, a school developed by the National Black Theatre. Even from the tender age of six he loved writing and acting and after finding an agent, Donald soon appeared in his first national commercial for Oatmeal Raisin Crisp, and went on to such television appearances as a recurring role as Duane in "Sesame Street," the Marlo Thomas special "Free To Be a Family," and more! He plays his role in Clueless really well and is a pleasure to watch.
Stacey Dash plays Dionne Marie Dacenport. After doing a string of commercials Stacey knew she was destined for TV, she started off by doing stints on series such as: "St. Elsewhere" and "The Cosby Show" before getting her first series "TV 101". Stacey has also done lots of films, but loves her role on Clueless.
Amber the mis-guided slave to fashion is played by Elisa Donovan. Elisa started acting at 7 year old and particularly loved acting at the theatre. She played the role of Ginger in "Beverly Hills 90210," and with appearances on "Blossom," "Simon," "Renegade," and a starring role in the ABC telefilm "Encino Woman," she has had loads of experience. Elisa also starred in the paramount film 'Clueless' directed by Amy Heckerling. Asides from being in lots of other films, she enjoys her part as Amber in the TV series as well.
Sean Holland plays the role of Sean, Murray's hip friend and partner-in-crime. Sean is also keen in music particularly Rap, he himself is a rap artist A.K.A. Novacain, and his rap group, Phunke Assfalt, they recorded the album Tales from the Crib, for A Street Records. His single, "This Time," was also featured in Paramount Pictures' 'Clueless.'
All of the cast have been in acting for a long time and their talent clearly shows in the hit TV series!
