Programme Information

Psycopathic serial rapist Max Cady (Robert De Niro) has just been released from prison following a long sentence for rape.

Max is now angry and is seeking revenge from the lawyer who didn't get him off. Max believes that Sam Bowden (Nick Nolte) purposely held back important informnation regarding the victim which could have overturned the case.

He soon sets off to terrorise Sam, his wife Leigh (Jessica Lange) and their 15-year-old daughter, Danielle (Juliette Lewis) while they try and escape to relax on a river boat.
