Programme Information

Eddie Adams (Mark Wahlberg) is an aspiring, and struggling, actor who is making ends meet by working in a nightclub.

Jack Horner (Burt Reynolds), a pornographic film director who believes his business is a form of pure art, discovers Eddie and his incredible "asset" and his life takes a drastic change which will stay with him forever.

Renamed Dirk Diggler, Eddie gets easily absorbed into the lifestyle and relationships of the porn industry of the late-seventies. However

However when the 80s arrive, things get ugly though when success leads to the inevitable troubles of drugs and ultimate ruin. Not only do Dirk and his colleagues have to deal with this problem they also have the added problem of coping with a new era, as well as the baggage they bring with them from the 70s.

Set in the late 1970's and early 1980, this film is a tribute to the decor, style, culture, and social attitudes of the era.
