Michael Barrymore stars in his award-winning role as the ever-troubled daytime TV game show host Bob Martin.
In the second series, Bob (Michael Barrymore) decides to write his auto-biography - with a little help from a ghost writer. Stephen Fry (Himself) shadows Bob in order to research a forthcoming role as Archie Rice in "The Entertainer" while and the Quickfire team, lead by his campy producer Greg (Denis Lawson), celebrate Bob's birthday with a surprise party - just like they do every year!
Meanwhile Vinnie (Keith Allen) leaves to start a new career as a presenter on a rival show. Beverley (Tracey Ann Oberman) continues her casual affair with Vinnie, and Greg is appalled to find Vinnie making a video of Isla Fisher in the shower.
