This police drama was aired between 1981 and 1991 and was shot entirely on location on the sparkling seaside island resort of Jersey.
This series followed the ,life of the divorced, ex-alcoholic Detective Sergeasnt Jim Bergerac (John Nettles) of the Bureau des Etrangers. This was a police unit that dealt entirely with crimes involving visitors to the island, and somehow all of these cases seemed to involve his ex father-in-law, Charlie Hungerford (Terence Alexander). The dodgy cigar-smoking millionaire businessman.
