The wonderful, Pete Postlethwaite stars in this romantic comedy about a man who finds love under electricity pylons.
Employed by a manager to paint all the electricity pylons in a 20 mile stretch of Sheffield, Ray (Pete Postlethwaite) joins a team of workers, and friends, to start the task.
Then along comes Gerry, a young Australian mountain climber with a powerful spirit of adventure and she's looking for a job.
Against the advice of the rest of the team Ray hires her anyway and the two soon start to fall in love.
However when Ray proposes; Steve becomes jealous and Ray's ex-wife is upset that he is spending more time with Gerry than with his own kids.
