SG1 visit P3R 636 where they discover a troop of Jaffa warriors and ceremonial priests delivering Naquadah, a treasured Goa'uld element, through the Stargate. While here Daniel becomes involved with the daughter of the planets leader Pyrus, while the rest of the team are forced to work in the planet's mines. Daniel discovers that Pyrus is over 700 years old, thanks to the rejuvenative powers of a sarcophagus. And that he had previously run the Goa'uld out of the planet but send peace offerings through the Stargate to try to appease the violent race.

Soon the Princess will become Queen and she wants Daniel to be her King and she's willing to use the power of the sarcophagus to convince him.
