Warren Clarke, who's career has ranged from 'Clockwork Orange' to the Beeb's 'Bleak House', unravels another mystery with the aid of his younger partner. Dalziel and Pascoe lift the lid on love, intrigue and murder in a Yorkshire village when the discovery of a man's body in a disused lift shaft reawakens the community's suspicions about the death of a young girl.
