Professor John Guy investigates the invention of the printed word, a momentous point in European history. Johannes Gutenburg has always been credited with the creation of the printing press, but two researchers from Princeton University have found evidence that casts doubt on this belief. Guy travels from Gutenburg's home in Mainz, Germany, to Washington DC to meet a printing expert who may have the answer.
