MTV ®: 'Rated and Recommended' is the brand new entertainment channel from MTV Networks UK & Ireland that launches on November 8th 2007.
MTV ® will offer viewers an opportunity to enjoy the iconic shows that made MTV famous. The channel will give MTV veterans the chance to relive their favourite moments, as well as MTV virgins the chance to "pop their cherry" with shows such as Pimp My Ride and Viva La Bam.
Launch night will kick off with an amazing line up. See how the rich and famous live, as MTV ® takes you on an exclusive tour of your favourite celebrities' pads in Cribs. Then, for a slice of American pie, tune in to the glitz and glamour of Laguna Beach - the show that follows a group of teens living in the real OC. We’ll also be airing the first and second series of US hit show, Newlyweds - the programme that catapulted Jessica Simpson and Nick Lachey to global super-stardom. Followed by the ultimate in car make-over shows, Pimp My Ride; where an A-list team of mechanics transform a rust-encrusted banger into a blingin’ gleaming machine laden with ostentatious gadgets. And, as if that wasn't enough to whet your appetite, after dark the channel will offer up a selection of infamous twisted stunt-based shows, in the shape of Jackass boys, Wildboyz and Viva La Bam. Other rated and recommended programmes on MTV ® will include Punk'd, The Real World, Laguna Beach and My Super Sweet 16.
