Border Television broadcasts 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Border is part of the ITV network and therefore it transmits much the same programmes as the other ITV stations, with the exception of a few regional variations.

Its programme line up is devised to cater to all tastes in a manner of informing, educating and entertaining.

Border Television is the UK Independent Television Company which covers: Cumbria, the South of Scotland, and the Isle of Man, and began broadcasting in 1961.

Border's news magazine programme, Lookaround, is the most popular programme of its type in Great Britain. It also produces a range of regional programmes including current affairs, documentary, entertainment, arts and sport. Border is part of the ITV Network.

As well as broadcasting 24 hours a day it is additionally supported by its own Border Television Web Site.
