Where can you find your all-time classic favourite toons of all time? BOOMERANG of course!! Watch them with your sisters, brothers, friends, families, on your own, or just AGAIN and AGAIN and AGAIN! Because those lovely folks down at Cartoon Network have launched a new home for the likes of Yogi Bear, Top Cat, Hong Kong Phooey, Wacky Races and the Hair Bear Bunch which started Saturday 27th May, and what's more, you can catch them ALL DAY LONG! .
Cartoon Network is currently home to over 2,500 characters - with over 8,500 separate cartoons in the Hanna Barbera Library alone. With so many cartoons and only one place to put them, there are just not enough hours in the day to keep every toon fan happy. So the network have created a new home for these much-loved classic cartoons and given them some fresh air to breathe.
With Boomerang's programming devoted entirely to classic cartoons from the golden age of television animation, it seems only right that the launch comes hot on the heels of a special Lifetime Achievement Award to legendary team William Hanna and Joseph Barbera. With more than 60 years of animated entertainment to their credit and in recognition of their unparalleled lifetime achievement, the ceremony took place at The Los Angeles Museum of Television & Radio in March 2000.
Boomerang from Cartoon Network will be distributed and available to digital satellite platform subscribers alongside Cartoon Network and Cartoon Network Plus. Viewers can toon in between 6am - midnight, 7 days a week.
