BBC 4 runs the best of the BBC's factual based programmes often in extended special editions. This channel also specially commissions new programmes which delve deeper into specialist areas of interest.

The schedule of BBC 4 is divided into five distinctive subjects across the week and provides the opportunity of repeats and highlights during the weekend.

Monday is History day. Tuesday looks to the future with Science and Technology Wednesday delves into the world of Business and Finance. Thursday takes you around the world with Languages and European Culture and Friday focuses on the Arts.
